早在1970年的早些时候，Udo Dirkschneider就在他的家乡、德国的Solingen（索林根）组建了Accept，但直到几年之后才有了一个比较固定的阵容。包括主唱Udo Dirkschneider，吉他手Wolf Hoffman和Gerhard Wahl，贝斯手Peter Baltes以及鼓手Frank Friedrich。Accept对日后Thrash Metal和Speed Metal的发展都起到了巨大的影响。
